Help Ukrainian Hospitals, Inc organized 2 visits to Ukraine by Professor Rom Stevens from Chicago to teach 400+ anesthesiologists from Dnipro and the region to make decisions at the point of care.
Portable ultrasound devices can see the problem on the spot and help to guide doctors for immediate intervention. This may significantly alter survival chances in the patient’s favor.
In March, a group of doctors from the USA supported by Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) will be teaching nuances of point of care ultrasonography in Lviv. (lots of them are actual authors of critical care ultrasound protocols).
This will bring this knowledge to more than hundred of Ukrainian intensive care doctors.
Provided that each Ukrainian doctor is caring for more than a thousand patients per year, the total coverage of patients helped by these doctors will be more than 100,000.
That is, thousands of Ukrainian patients who were treated with utilization of world class, state-of-the-art technology.
