Our charity organization “Help Ukrainian Hospital” ensured the arrival of professor Rom Stevens to Dnipro to teach our doctors how to rescue defenders on the battlefield according to the latest world protocols. Create a “blood bank” in the field and perform “point-of-care” ultrasound diagnostics with devices the size of a smartphone.
“It is an honor for me to support the heroic and existential struggle for democratic values in Europe, which is currently being led by the heroic Ukrainian people,” explains Rom.
Rom brought with him 2 portable ultrasound scanners the size of a smartphone, which allow, without CT, MRI and a large number of medical personnel, to quickly diagnose a wounded soldier and immediately share the images with American colleagues via messenger. Arrange an online consultation and quickly develop the best rescue protocol right at the bedside of the injured.
By the way, you can use this link to help us equip our city hospitals with such ultrasound.
Anton Kovyriev, vice-president of Help Ukrainian Hospital, said:
“During the visit, Rom will share his experience with about 300 of our doctors from the 16th, 8th, 4th hospitals, Mechnikov, the medical academy and the emergency hospital. And if everything goes well, then in the spring he will return to us with 6 more of his colleagues in order to also convey to our doctors modern world practices in resuscitation. We are very grateful for such support and appreciate the help of our foreign friends.”
This event was covered by many well-known publications of the city, Gorod.dp.ua, Informator, OpenTV.
