Biography

Help to build #Mental Health for Ukraine

Vyktor Kokashinski, MD is a psychiatrist working and practicing in Dnipro, Ukraine. He holds an appointment of Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology at Dnipropetrovsk State Medical University. He sees patients at the private clinic “MEDICLUB” and is an author of 13 scientific publications.

Since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion, he has taken care of patients with war-related mental health issues. The Ukrainian healthcare system currently does not provide outpatient mental health services. So patients who require these services must pay for them out of pocket.

Many of Dr. Kokashinski’s patients have been displaced from eastern or southern Ukrainian regions, and have  no means to pay for professional help or purchase medications. Vulnerable population of those with preexisting psychiatric conditions is disproportionally affected by stress of war and may have even more limited access to professional help. Dr. Kokashinski’s practice includes focused psychiatric interventions which includes pharmacologic support other means.

Partnership between Dr. Kokashinski and Help Ukrainian Hospitals, Inc includes financial assistance to those in need. Vulnerable patients of Dr. Kokashinski with acute and acute on chronic conditions receive qualified psychiatric treatment and medications paid for by Help Ukrainian Hospitals, Inc.

Please support Dr. Kokashinski’s work by contributing to help people survive war-related psychological trauma, which often persists long after escaping the conflict zone.
